Seascape Painting | Sunset at Marine Lake | A View from Knightstone Weston-super-Mare
Background:
This is my first seascape painting. It’s a memorable place as whilst I was casually strolling along the dry pathway suddenly the tide started to come in. I was in the middle of the barrage and my first concern was to avoid my treasured training shoes from getting wet. So I stood watching the waves gently encroach. The tide, however, doesn’t stop for my shoes unfortunately and I soon had to stride through the waves. I think the sea level rose above my ankles but in my mind as I panicked I felt as if it was above my shoulders. I did the painting before this experience but maybe if I painted it after the sea would have a less tranquil feel to it! See photos in my post.
